In April, 2008, I was fortunate to schedule a fishing trip with Gerald Scholl on Lake Tahoe. I am not the most experienced fisherman in the world but Gerald eased my concerns. Lake Tahoe, of course, is one of the prettiest places on earth and the boat ride alone is easily worth the price of the excursion. One of the many impressive things about Gerald is that he is very willing to change different fishing strategies.
Gerald’s tour was by far the highlight of my trip to Lake Tahoe. I caught several Mackinaw (Lake Trout) and each fish seemed prettier than the last .The fish were large and generally put up a good fight. Gerald was very willing to share secrets and provide as much or as little assistance as desired. When I return to Lake Tahoe, I will definitely call him. If you are a novice fisherman or an experienced angler, I heartily recommend him as a guide.
The trip was splendid and a perfect respite from my day job as an assistant prosecutor in Ohio. I was pleased when the boat was able to reach our limit, as I thought my inexperience would make it more difficult. I was extremely impressed with the sophistication of the equipment that Gerald uses. If you want to catch fish and have a great time, give Gerald a call.
